Classical Ballet is offered for ages 8 and up. All ballet students are invited to participate in The Nutcracker. See Performances for more info.
Ballet Level 1
Ballet Level 1 (Ages 8 & Up)
An introduction to classical ballet focused on building strength, flexibility, and coordination through floor exercises and movement. Dancers begin learning ballet positions, basic technique, and terminology, with barre work introduced to support proper alignment and skill development..
2025-2026: Wednesday 4:30-5:25pm
Ballet Level 2 (Ages 9 & Up)
This class builds on the foundation established in Level 1, continuing the development of ballet technique, strength, flexibility, and coordination. Dancers work on refining movements, expanding ballet vocabulary, and gaining confidence at the barre and in center work.
2025-2026: Tuesday 4:30-5:25pm
Ballet Level 3 (Ages 10 & Up)
Building on previous training, this level introduces more complex barre and center combinations while continuing to strengthen technique, alignment, and musicality. Dancers begin working on turns and pirouettes, gaining control, confidence, and a deeper understanding of classical ballet vocabulary. Older beginners welcome.
2025-2026: Wednesday 6:30-8:00pm
Ballet Level 4 / Pre-Pointe (Ages 11 & Up)
This twice-weekly class continues to build on previous ballet training with a focus on strength, alignment, and technique. Dancers work through more detailed barre and center combinations and begin pre-pointe exercises to prepare safely and confidently for future pointe work. Students perform two dances in the recital and receive two costumes.
2025-2026: Monday 4:30-6:25 AND Wednesday 6:30-8:00pm.
Ballet Level 5 / Beginning Pointe
For experienced dancers ready to begin pointe work, this class focuses on building the strength, alignment, and technique required for dancing en pointe. Class includes traditional barre and center work, with the addition of beginner pointe exercises. Instructor approval is required. Dancers perform two recital dances and receive two costumes.
2025-2026: Monday 4:30-6:25pm AND Tuesday 6:30-8:45pm
Ballet Level 6 & Intermediate Pointe
Ballet Level 6 / Intermediate Pointe
Designed for experienced dancers, this class focuses on refining technique, strength, and artistry both on flat and en pointe. Dancers work on more complex combinations, sustained balances, and increased pointe work to continue building control, confidence, and performance quality. Instructor approval required. Dancers perform two recital dances and receive two costumes.
2025-2026: Tuesday 6:30-8:45pm AND Thursday 5:30-7:45pm
Ballet Level 7 / Advanced Pointe
For advanced dancers with strong technical foundations, this class emphasizes artistry, precision, and endurance en pointe. Dancers work on complex choreography, advanced turning and balancing sequences, and performance quality. Instructor approval required. Dancers perform two recital dances and receive two costumes.
2025-2026: Monday 6:30-8:45pm AND Thursday 5:30-7:45pm
